Sunlight reacts with solar panels on your roof to produce energy known as direct current (DC) electricity. That DC electricity moves along to your inverter and is then changed into alternating current (AC) electricity—the kind traditionally distributed by your utility provider into your home.

The additional electricity that you produce from the system, reduces the amount of energy you require from your utility company. The result is a reliable, affordable, and clean energy system that saves you money while helping to save the environment, too.

Net Metering is a way for you to stabilize your energy source with a consistent and reliable flow of your own, onsite energy. Your utility provider monitors how much energy you consume, with the total bill based on your electricity usage, minus your solar energy production. The meter from us is installed right next to your existing utility connections.

At the end of your billing period, you are only charged for the electricity you’ve consumed. If you have produced more energy than you have consumed, you automatically receive a credit. You can capitalize on the electricity you’ve generated by “banking” your energy for later usage. You are also able to track your daily production of solar power online through your monitoring system. Net metering is important because it has a direct impact on your yearly savings and payback.
